Jefferson Survives See Saw Battle

In match one of POD play at Onondaga the Timberwolves came out slowly and got caught on their heels by Jefferson in the first set, which they dropped 25-12. Isabella Shrestha began to heat up in the second set and led her team to a 25-11 victory to tie the match at 1 set each. The third set was the closest set of the match as Jefferson took it 25-21, but SUNY Adirondack bounced back in the fourth set to tie it at 2 sets each with a 25-15 win. Despite the great defense of Kaicey Sardina, who ended the match with 20 digs, the team wasn't able to pull out the victory over Jefferson as they put it all together at the perfect time to take the deciding set 15-12.

Shrestha ended the match with 19 kills and 2 blocks, with Breanna MacDuff to thank for many of those kills as she totaled 37 assists. Maya Phillips added 10 kills with Tylor Graham tacking on 9.

The Timberwolves next play the host Onondaga in match 2 of 3 on the day.
